Your Role as a Responsible Citizen
The campaign’s success depends equally on the active participation of every resident. The public has been specifically urged to follow two simple but critically important guidelines:
1. Use the provided waste bags. Suthhra Punjab has distributed designated waste bags to households and communities. All animal remains — including bones, hides, blood, and other by-products of the sacrifice — must be placed inside these bags. This makes collection easier, faster, and more hygienic for the sanitation teams working in the field.
2. Do not dispose of waste on roads, intersections, parks, or drains. Throwing animal remains in open public spaces is not only unhygienic — it creates serious health risks, including the spread of disease, contamination of water channels, and harm to urban ecosystems. It also places an unfair burden on the sanitation workforce and undermines the collective effort to keep Punjab clean.
